LF 2.JPGThere are three general areas for shopping chain stores. North, there is the Gardens Mall and Downtown on PGA Blvd. The mall is wonderful. There is pretty much every store you’d possibly want. The Brooks Brothers has a section for boys. I don’t think there’s a Restoration Hardware but other than that it has everything. The Gap is bigger than the one at CityPlace. In Nordstrom there’s a nice café and a fantastic shoe department. Big tip, Gardens has a Zara. Actually, look for that one below. Not everyone knows about that store. The high-end shops are all here - Tiffany’s and Burberry are just two.

Then there is CityPlace near downtown West Palm Beach. I think more people probably go here for the restaurants but I really like how easy it is to run into the stores (if you get a parking spot on the street and not in a garage). CityPlace has Oilily, which is a hard to find store. I can’t live without the Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Gap, Banana Republic, Barnes and Noble, Anthropologie, and Restoration Hardware. They’re my basics.

The other great place for shopping is Worth Ave. I know, it sounds obvious but I’ve talked to a lot of people who seem surprised when I tell them I like to shop here. For those who are fiscally challenged, like me, there is a Brooks Brothers, Saks has great deals in the summer, Mackenzie Childs always has fun odds and ends at good prices, and there are lots of others. Worth is not good for the basics but it’s worth (ha) walking up and down once in a while and taking a look.
